Project Connexio - A Report

Workshop #1 is the first worskhop which was held as a part of the project CONNEXIO - cooperation project between the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland (FH Burgenland) the University in Pula. Workshop #1 was held on the 1st and 2nd December on the FH Burgenland.  8 students from the FH Burgenland prticipated in the workshop along with 7 students from the Uni Pula. The international group of students, coming from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegowina, Ukraine and Kazahstan had the chance to improve their knowledge in the field of business English as well as project management.

Through interactive group work students have prepared for job interviews held in English and they have brushed up their business English correspondence. Two lecturers, William Charles Qualey IV from the USA and Leonardo Siekaup Gualtieri fom Australia, used interesting presentations and group work in order to teach business English.

The second day of the workshop had a focus on projext management and EU funding. The FH Burgenland's lecturer, Michael Gansch, first shared his theoretical knowledge with the class and afterwards he coordinated group work among students. Upon the end of the workshop the students have received a certificate of participation in the Worskhop #1. 

 

Except im the official part of the workshop, the students had a change to participate in a wine tasting in St. Georgen, visit the Christmas market in Eisenstadt and get the real winter feeling of Vienna - one of the world's most popular winter destinations. Workshop #1  was closed by an appropriate student party on the Campus in Eisensatdt.

 

CONNEXIO encurages knowledge and experience exchange among students from different universities, different nationalities, different langauge and cultural background. The project aims to create friendly atmosphere among its participates and it leads toward new connections and relations through informal get-together-events.
